Libertarian Party of Fauquier County Appears In Fauquier Times-Democrat

Some of you may have seen the article that appeared today in the Fauquier Times-Democrat on page 6 regarding the formation of the Libertarian Party of Fauquier County. The article listed this website and inferred that this is the party's website. I need to set the record straight about that.

To clarify, I have two roles. One is as chairman of the newly formed Libertarian Party of Fauquier County. The other is as a private businessman who has created this website as a public service for residents of Fauquier County to share their ideas and thoughts on the current issues of the day within the county. The only connection between the two roles is me. Other than that, there is no connection between this website and the Libertarian Party of Fauquier County.
Also, I want to state for the record that the newspaper's headline and caption under my photo were made up by the newspaper. That's right! Kelly Alm and I never discussed either Sen. Warner or his seat in the Senate, not even for a moment. Kelly contacted me to alert me that her editor had written the headline, and I believe her. It's a bit disconcerting to see a quote attributed to yourself that you never said!
Will the Libertarian Party of Virginia run a candidate for Warner's seat next year? I wouldn't at all be surprised. However, I certainly have no knowledge of any current candidacy having been established.
I regret any confusion the paper's misquotes may have created.
